Immersion into the the curriculum

Our Methods

Sola Gratia Classical Academy Inc. is a Christian classical hybrid homeschool community with a more gentle college preparatory purpose. We believe that the best way to educate our students is with a classical education based on wisdom that has stood the test of time. We focus on cultivating their minds rather than filling them up with information.

As students progress through the upper elementary, logic, and rhetoric levels we increase our academic rigor to reflect a gentle college preparatory level of education, increasing their ability to become highly academic students.

Through embodied learning and diligent pacing, we help our students develop a relationship with what they study, while also providing an orderly and purposeful introduction to the Liberal Arts.

We maintain our pursuit of excellence in the classical tradition. We put practices in place to guide virtue formation, recognizing that virtue formation must accompany academic instruction in order to reach wisdom. Christ is at the center of all we teach. We are educating hearts and heads.

In the high school years, many of our classes are at the honors/AP level, allowing for students to take some AP exams if they should so choose, for those classes. We seek to be a college preparatory community with our focus on preparing students to be successful in college both academically, and as students of faith who are able to articulate, defend, and persuade for the gospel.

At Sola Gratia, we want to equip our children to be future leaders able to take what they learn back into society. We also offer leadership and mentoring opportunities through our Senatores Solae Gratiae program. This program provides Academic Mentor Advisors for students, and various committees that the students can be on which will give them opportunity to lead, mentor, and serve throughout the community and beyond. Students must meet the academic and behavior standard requirements to become a Senatores.

Parents are welcome to drop off their children, and only attend community days during learning celebrations or other campus events. We cultivate an atmosphere of collaboration and service. Academic Mentors serve to mentor parents and students alike. Older students are encouraged to serve as mentors to younger students and given opportunities to do so throughout the year through our Senatores Solae Gratiae high school leadership program.
